Welcome to Gita Streak, a mobile application published by JeyStack LLC ("JeyStack," "we," "our," or "us"). Gita Streak helps users explore the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita through bite-sized daily lessons, streak-based habit tracking, Karma Coins, and Gopi, your friendly in-app guide character.
This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect when you use the Gita Streak app and associated services (collectively, the "Service"), how we use that information, with whom we share it, and the rights and choices you have regarding your information. Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these practices.
If you have any questions or concerns about this policy or our privacy practices, please contact us at support@jeystack.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information in connection with your use of the Service:
(a) Account Data
When you create an account, we collect information necessary to establish and maintain your account, including your name, email address, and, where you choose to sign in using a third-party authentication provider, your Apple ID or Google account identifier. We do not receive your Apple or Google password; authentication is handled entirely by those platforms.
(b) Usage Data
As you interact with the Service, we collect information about your in-app activity, including lessons completed, your current and historical streak count, quiz scores, and your Karma Coins balance. This information is used to personalize your experience and power the core features of the app.
(c) Device and Technical Data
We automatically collect certain technical information from your device when you use the Service, including device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs and diagnostic data, and your push notification token (used solely to deliver streak reminders and other in-app notifications you have enabled). This data helps us maintain app stability and improve performance.
(d) Communications
If you contact us for support or send us an email, we collect the content of your communications and any contact information you provide (such as your name and email address). We use this information to respond to your inquiry and, where necessary, to resolve technical issues.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide the Service. To operate, maintain, and deliver the features of Gita Streak, including account management, lesson delivery, streak tracking, and Karma Coins.
- Personalize your experience. To tailor lesson recommendations, Gopi interactions, and in-app content based on your progress and preferences.
- Send streak reminders and notifications. To send push notifications reminding you to complete your daily lesson and maintain your streak, where you have granted notification permissions.
- Respond to support requests. To respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer support.
- Improve the app. To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical problems, and develop new features and improvements to the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations. To comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and lawful requests from public authorities.
- Protect our rights and users. To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, abuse, and other illegal activities, and to protect the safety of our users and the integrity of the Service.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the limited circumstances described below.
- Service Providers. We engage trusted third-party vendors to assist us in operating the Service, including cloud hosting providers, analytics platforms, and crash-reporting services. These vendors process your information only on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations, and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or comply with a judicial proceeding.
- Business Transfers. If JeyStack LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar corporate transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice in the app before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With Your Consent. We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit prior consent.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as otherwise necessary to provide the Service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within thirty (30) days of receiving and verifying your request, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain certain information for a longer period (for example, for tax, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes).
Aggregated or anonymized analytics data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be retained beyond this period to improve the Service and understand usage trends.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights regardless of your state of residence and will not discriminate against you for exercising any of them.

7. Children's Privacy
Gita Streak is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age.
In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), if we learn or have reason to believe that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete that information from our records. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at support@jeystack.com so that we can take appropriate action.
8. Push Notifications
With your permission, Gita Streak may send push notifications to your device to remind you to complete your daily lesson and maintain your streak. These notifications are a core part of the habit-building experience the app is designed to provide.
You can disable push notifications at any time by going to your device's Settings app, selecting Gita Streak, and toggling off "Notifications." You may also manage notification preferences within the app's Settings screen. Disabling push notifications will not affect your ability to use the core features of the Service.
9. Email Communications
From time to time, we may send you transactional emails related to your account (such as a welcome email, account confirmation, password reset, or responses to your support inquiries). These communications are not promotional in nature and are necessary for the operation of the Service.
If we send you any promotional or marketing emails, we will comply with the requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act. Each such email will: (i) clearly identify JeyStack LLC as the sender; (ii) include our valid physical postal address; (iii) use a subject line that accurately reflects the content of the email; and (iv) include a clear and conspicuous mechanism for you to opt out of receiving future promotional emails from us. We will process opt-out requests promptly and within 10 business days, as required by law. Please note that even if you opt out of promotional emails, you may continue to receive transactional communications related to your account.
